About Our Practice
Meet Dr. Alla Goldburt
I am a board certified family medicine physician with a passion for whole family health based on trust and meaningful connection.
I emigrated with my family from the former USSR, and spent most of my young adult life bouncing around the Midwest. I studied neuroscience at Carleton College, in the town of cows, colleges and contentment of Northfield, MN. I attended Rush Medical School in Chicago, IL where I started my real world education in community based health disparities. My commitment to becoming a family physician was rooted in a conviction that real connection and trust make a dramatic difference in wellness. I completed my training through the Brown Family Medicine residency in the ‘bucket, Pawtucket, RI. In my short three years there, I was able to build genuine relationships, by providing thoughtful continuity of care that made my patients feel understood and supported.
Then the ocean drew me and my family up to the North Shore, where we are now rooted. I have practiced for almost 10 years in the Malden community where I have grown a dedicated patient following. My goal has always been to make healthcare less stressful and more meaningful for every member of the family. However in the last few years primary care has become fragmented, confusing and dehumanizing - both to patients and doctors. In 2025 I hit a wall and could no longer tolerate the nonsensical insurance rules that so often negatively impacted the health of my patients. Transitioning to Direct Primary Care (DPC) allows me to out the administrative middlemen and create space to return to the human side of care, to rebuild trust with my patients. I so look forward to meeting you and your family and hearing your stories!
In my spare time, you can find me on the water, going with the flow on my paddleboard or cheering on the fishermen (and lady) in our family. As a lifelong dancer, finding ways to keep active and moving brings me joy. As a lifelong thinker, curling up on the couch and getting lost in a fiction book is equally joyful.
